I previously wrote about Knetwit, the knowledge sharing site where you can upload your class notes in exchange for cash or merchandise, and view notes from others who have taken your classes. (Click here to read the original post.) At the time, they had a limited selection of merchandise from which to choose. I checked back today, and discovered that Knetwit has vastly expanded the variety of items in the Knetwit store. The difference is huge! They have gone from having one type of TV or MP3 player, each requiring hundreds of thousands of points, to having dozens of choices, many of which could be earned fairly quickly.
You can choose from a huge variety of laptops, digital cameras, MP3 players including iPods, clothing, accessories, office supplies and books including textbooks.
As of this writing, I’ve uploaded notes from 3 classes and earned $20 worth of “koin.” I could cash in right now, or I could hold out for some of the cool electronics that are available. By the way, I’ve calculated the “exchange rate” between koin and dollars, and concluded that much of the merchandise can be had more cheaply by trading koin for it than by purchasing it the normal way. For example, a netbook made by Acer goes for about $300 in the store, but can be had for $240-$270 worth of koin, depending on how it’s configured.
If you have class notes in digital form from any college level course, you owe it to yourself to join Knetwit and put your notes to work for you. You earn koin for uploading notes, referring friends, and any time someone downloads one of your notes. The site is free to join, easy to use, and they will not spam you.
