Video: Los Angeles wildfire reaches the 91 Freeway

Southern California had a major wildfire problem during the last couple of weeks.  I was lucky enough not to be affected other than breathing smoky air, but a lot of people lost their homes.  Several freeways had to be shut down because the fires jumped across them.  Here’s a video taken from a car on one of the freeways as the wind is pushing smoke and embers across the lanes of traffic.  The footage is well edited, and even has an appropriate musical soundtrack.  It’s a little scary, but should be appropriate for just about anyone.

The passengers in the car are four freelance musicians on their way to a gig.  One of them posted this video on her website, and got to be a guest blogger on CNN.com as a result.  Here are the links:
